If you have 1 to 20 delegates you can attend one of our open or public training courses.

We can set up a private course or organise training at your site for 6 to 20 delegates.

Official 2-day course from the CITB – of which we are an accredited member and an approved CITB training provider.

Course aims to update as well as refresh your knowledge and understanding of the principle responsibilities of a Site Manager, and the skills needed to maintain a safe and healthy working environment for everyone on your site.

Course includes:

  • The Health & Safety Executives updated main focuses
  • Risk assessment and method statements (RAMS)
  • Health, safety and welfare on construction sites
  • RIDDOR (Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations)

  • Behavioural safety
  • Occupational health
  • Overview and changes to the current legislation affecting construction.

The SMSTS Refresher can only be attended whilst your current certification is still valid. The refresher cannot be attended once your certification has expired.

Course Dates


  1. Q: My SMSTS certificate has run out, can I still do the refresher course?

    A: Unfortunately, if your certification has run out you'll need to do the full 5 day course again.  Please make sure you renew prior to your certification running out.

    A: Yes, it's available here in full (optimised pdf 0.6 MB).
