The Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme Refresher (SSSTS-R) is a 1-day training course for delegates who need to renew their SSSTS certificate before the expiry date.

The SSSTS certificate is valid for 5 years after the initial course was completed, if you are unsure of when your certificate expires you can find the expiry date on your certificate underneath the course completion date, if you are not able to check your certificate you can use the CITB card checker to find out the relevant information. Please click here to go to the CITB card checker site. All CITB certification expires at the end of the month regardless of the date the course was completed on.

We recommend booking your refresher course at least 30 days before the expiry date.

If your certificate has expired, you will need to complete the 2-day SSSTS course again.

FAQs

  1. Q: My initial SSSTS certification has expired, can I attend the refresher course?

    A:

Unfortunately you cannot, if your SSSTS certification has expired you will need to undertake the full 2 day SSSTS course again.  We advise booking onto a SSSTS Refresher course at least 30 days before your certification expires to ensure you can renew your certification.

  2. Q: When does my SSSTS certification expire?

    A:

All CITB certification expires 5 years from the end of the month the initial course was completed. For example if you completed a course on 05.01.2022 your certification would expire on 31.01.2027.

Course feedback

It was very good to have a trainer from the industry with relevant experience rather than a graduate/theorist.
